Environment Canada is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research broadly related to improving physical parameterizations for NWP models with horizontal grid spacings on the order of 10-20 km (deterministic and ensemble systems).  The research is to be done at the Atmospheric Numerical Prediction Research Section (RPN), located in the west island of Montreal, and will involve using the Global Environmental Multiscale (GEM) model.  Applicants should have experience in atmospheric modeling.  Experience running a NWP  model in a UNIX-based environment would be an asset.  Funding for this position is available for up to three years.

Note, this PDF position is separate from the position posted earlier related to high-resolution (km- or sub-km-scale) modeling.  (i.e. Two positions are available).

For more information or to apply, please contact Dr. Stephane Belair or Dr. Jason Milbrandt.
